Welcome to the CIL 2013 Blog

001

The 2013 Computers in Libraries (CIL) conference is ready to go.  The Information Today, Inc. (ITI) staff in Medford, NJ has been hard at work planning and organizing, and now the event is here–ITI’s first 2013 conference.  I am looking forward to bringing you the news as soon as possible after it happens, so be sure and tune in to the blog to be in the picture.

Washington, DC is beautiful at this time of the year, and spring has finally arrived!  The National Cherry Blossom Festival is going on, showcasing the annual blooming of the cherry trees.  If you get a chance before or after the conference (notice I didn’t say “during” ) or in the evening, be sure and visit.  Here’s a typical view of what you will see.

And of course, Washington has lots and lots of other attractions–you won’t be bored!

Back at the Washington Hilton, the conference venue, all is in readiness.  Here is a view of the registration area as it appeared when I arrived–I can promise you that it will look vastly different at 8 AM tomorrow morning!

All is ready at the registration area.
