Here we are again at the Crystal City Hyatt ready to go for another Computers in Libraries conference. Just before the opening session, Tom Hogan, Sr., President of Information Today; Jane Dysart, Conference Chair; and Lee Rainie, opening keynote speaker, compared notes. Tom told me that this year’s attendance is 2,115, which in these difficult economic times, is surprisingly good, even though it’s less than last year. Representatives from every state except Nevada, and 18 countries are here at the 24th CIL.
We’re looking forward to a stimulating, informative, and educational conference. If you can’t be here with us, check back on this blog frequently, and my colleagues (Marydee Ojala and Kathy Dempsey) and I will keep you informed.
Enjoy the conference!
