Bright and early on Monday morning, the IL 2011 conference came to life. Early risers found a bountiful breakfast (and beautiful weather!) awaiting them…

In the opening session, Tom Hogan, Sr., president of Information Today, noted that this is the 15th IL conference. Attendance is good, with 1,050 paid registrants from 46 states and 11 countries outside the US. New this year is the longest-named event that ITI has ever organized: the Library Director’s Digital Strategy Summit. Tom said that the weather was so beautiful that he wouldn’t blame anyone playing hooky for a short time.
