UPDATE: Check out What’s to see at Games, Gadgets, and Makerspaces? for an update on the gear that will be at this event.
We have all heard about the “Makerspace Movement”; but this has quickly become more of a “Makerspace Revolution” as libraries and other institutions alike have been making massive pushes to foster makerspace mentality in their spaces. Have you been wondering what technologies to start incorporating into your environment? Or are you simply curious about what other great technologies are out there? Then come to the Games, Gadgets, and Makerspaces Evening session at Computers In Libraries on Sunday April 6th from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
See the latest and greatest technology from companies across the globe. From interactive products like Sphero to technology that encourages creation such as littleBits, you have a chance to experience and experiment with the latest and greatest games and gadgets. The session will open up with a brief discussion of the technology, and then participants are encouraged to dive in and play. If you don’t know where to start at CIL, this is the place to meet great people, play with technology, and have an overall amazing first night at Computers In Libraries.
If you want to bring gear to the event, contact Brian Pichman and let him know.
